This is the latest of five Mueller huts built in the vicinity. It was opened in July, 2003 by Sir Edmund & Lady Jane Hillary & is named after Gerhard Mueller, (1835-1918), chief surveyor of Westland. There are gas stoves in situ in summer only. It costs $36.00 per night, per person ($31.00 for NZAC members). Pay at Aoraki/ Mt Cook visitor centre. Edit Hut
