It has 12 bunks and the category of Backcountry Hut.This was the first of five Mueller huts in the vicinity. It was built during the summer of 1914-15 but was deteriorating by 1947. Bert Barley built the second, short-lived hut, completing it by April, 1950. Unfortunately, after 4 months the second hut was swept onto the Mueller Glacier by an avalanche. Fortunately, the roof remained intact & remains of the second hut were used to built the temporary third hut.Location:
