Cute and cost great walks hut. Lovely spot on a sunny day. Wished we could’ve stayed longer.

I would be really sad if this great old '70s style timber built "Lockwood" hut was demolished in 2023. It just needs maintenance. Newsroom reported a DOC budget crisis a few months back. Maybe that will forestall the building of a multi-million dollar youth hostel styled lodge in 2023.
