Built in April, 1959, by the NZFS as a standard S81 4-bunk design with an open wood box/ cupboard type alcove outside of the door. Its original open fire was replaced by a woodburner very early on. The hut was removed by DOC in 2008 & replaced with a new 6-bunk hut, see 'Parks Peak Hut'. Edit Hut
