Notes
Built by the present owner, Paul Nixon, when he was 15 years old in 1970. It was the last private hut approval given by the Wellington Regional Water Board. The hut is known for the hydro electricity system installed at nearby Hydro Creek. Unfortunately, the hydro system was destroyed in the floods of 2004-2005. The hut is well situated for all day sun. Although Paul is the owner, it is now maintained by others. Edit Hut

This hut was amazing. Had a very good time. Was quite hot at night with the fireplace. Hard work chopping all the wood.
