Note the hut is located 50m past the kohukohu trig on the kohukohunui track side(opposite side to what's showing on the map). Hut is unlocked, in good shape and a cosy place to hole up for the night. Note that road access is currently very limited and so closest parking was Upper Mangatāwhiri Dam. This added a significant road walk(the council workers wouldn't give me a ride...).

Loved this little hut. Perfect for an overnight stay. Will need some work in the coming years (borer dust). Only downside was no longdrop.
