Built in August, 2007, it replaces 'Zekes Hut No. 2', after its walls began to deteriorate badly. The hut is named after Turangi hunter, Zeke Martin. Edit Hut
From the road cross to the walking access sign. From there follow the treeline to the creek. Follow this upstream to the swing bridge. From here continue straight along the fenceline before turning up the hill near the forest boundary to a large orange marker. Track on farmland not marked well.
Track at the flat bit before Hihitahi peak is a bit unclear, so some compass navigation is needed. Once you are at the valley of the old hut, head through the path on the right of the tussocks (True East) to reach the hut.
