Built in March, 2011. This hut replaced the former Anne Hut (located 1km upstream) after it was destroyed by fire in July, 2010. There are only 12 mattresses in the hut so taking a sleeping mat is recommended. Edit Hut

This hut was built in 2011 and would have to be the worst place hut I’ve ever been in. The water is on rain because there is no nearby creeks. There is a river but it requires a risky climb. The firewood shed is reliant (according to hut book entries) on nearby trees, which there was little of.
