Built by Sid Booth & Ray Clarke in 1933 during the depression. It was the family home of Sid & Eva Booth & their son Teddy for over 10 years. A telephone line was connected to the hut in the 1940's. DOC, the Louis Creek Miners Association & Teddy Booth completed remedial work on the hut in 1995. Not for overnight use. Edit Hut

Great walk in past old gold workings. I wouldn't stay but a lovely spot with robin and kākā.

It has 1 double bed frame with wire mesh at the back end of the Cottage but not worth staying in.
