It is a historic hut on the banks of Coopers Creek. As of 31/05/2019 it has no south-west wall (at rear of photo) & it is covered with a tarpalin. Edit Hut

This is the hut just beyond the Mountain Road carpark on the way to Payton Lodge Scout Camp and as Ray says isn't shown as being Adams Hut on maps. I've taken the liberty of changing the name to the alternate one given when listed and will add Adams Hut as a separate entry.

Adams Hut appears to be a DIFFERENT HUT, located on the next side-road, Sladdens Bush Road. (Check your topo map).
In 2018 it was overgrown in blackberries, and very rundown. Apparently was once a YHA Hostel!
