Built in 1955 by Morrie & Coral Robson, it was the first of two Lawrence Huts built on site. It was overhauled in 1980 by the NZFS, but burnt down shortly thereafter. It was replaced by a log cabin style hut in the mid 1990's, which in turn was removed. Edit Hut
