This was the fourth of four huts in Leslie Clearing. The original, a log & shingle hut was built in the 1890’s by members of the Salisbury family who grazed cattle in the Leslie until 1913. Collins built the second hut in 1931 during the Great Depression. The second hut, was rebuilt by Jock Stocker & Graham Keen in either 1953 or 1955. The fourth hut was built in 1982 by Snow Meyer (see gable end photo) & Ian Brereton reports Snow's hut, burnt down on 15 January, 2000. Edit Hut
