Notes
This hut has been known by several names over the years including 'Sabot Creek Hut', but the accepted name is 'Mikonui Flat Homestead'. Built in the late 1800's by the Gribben family, after whom Gribben Flat, which is below Mikonui Flat, was named. It was originally known as Gribben's Homestead & on being taken over by the Temperley's was known by that name. During this era it was used by IAD deer cullers. After the Temperley's it became Minehan's & was known by that name too. It is currently locked & not available for public use. Historic notes via glennj. Edit Hut
