Notes
Built in 1959, based upon a NZFS design, it was built with an open fire, by culler, Percy Singer & Nelson Lakes NP ranger, George Lyon. It was extended in 1972 & reportedly co-existed with the 1972-built, 8-bunk, ‘West Sabine Hut (old)' for a decade. Sabine Forks Hut was removed sometime after 1994, along with the bridge over the east branch of the Sabine River. Edit Hut
